What Israel did in summer 2014 will be remembered as the shameless brutal slaughter of Palestinian children in Gaza. The videos of innocent children’s maimed corpses lying on the beach created an uproar, only to fall on deaf ears and soon die the typical media death. But on social media and blogs, that cruelty is relived in many a posting.
And the same savagery is being inflicted on Yemeni children by one of the world’s leading terrorist states – Saudi Arabia. Recklessly bombing from the air virtually anything they spot as non-Saudi on Yemeni soil, the Saudis have killed hundreds of children, including ill or disabled ones.
War crimes by brutal regimes like Israel and Saudi Arabia frequently involve the killings of children, those too young to understand what’s going on and who is fighting who and to what end – if not their very own ends.
The so-called United Nations – which has done nothing to unite nations – is too busy serving its moneymaking and serving political masters to heed any of the calls for justice for these children. And the criminals simply express a political sorrow by saying it was just a tragic accident, a Israel did over the 2014 killing of kids. This world needs some compassion and a lot more outrage of quenchless kind over such brutality in order to make it a safer world for the helpless.
