Petition Asks Senate to End Child Trafficking in US

Slavery and human trafficking continue to be an issue in our world more than ever before and as a recent Huffington Post story tells, about 15K people are forced into human trafficking for sexual exploitation and/or labor.Covenant House

Addressed to the US Senate, Covenant House has launched a Care2 petition Act Now to End Child Trafficking in the United States.

“According to the U.S. Department of Justice, nearly 85% of victims in confirmed sex trafficking cases are U.S. citizens – mostly homeless kids,” says the petition page.

The petition has been signed by close to 80 thousand people by now and another 20K signatures are needed to reach the target strength.
