Not Allowing Hunting in San Diego’s Safe Haven for Wildlife

Does it bother the authorities to see wild life safe from human hands and living peacefully in nature? If no, there has to be another explanation for allowing hunting wildlife in otherwise protected territories.ducks

Not quite buying the play of words like “Comprehensive Conservation Plan and Environmental Assessment”, a Care2 petition by Giusy Adragna demands Victoria Touchstone, Refuge Planner San Diego National Wildlife Refuge Complex, of upholding the ban on hunting in San Diego National Wildlife Refuge.

Showing the consequence of the proposed hunting plan by U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, the petition writes: “Deer, rabbits, migratory birds, and other animals will be gunned down or pierced with arrows in what is currently one of the few remaining wild safe havens in Southern California.”

The petition has been signed by more than 60 thousand caring advocates for wildlife and is hoping to reach its target 61K signatures by August 18, 2014.
