Robert Aldrich’s 1962 classic What Ever Happened to Baby Jane? is remembered for the immortal performance of Bette Davis as Baby Jane. But Joan Crawford as Jane’s disabled sister Blanche complemented Jane’s character perfectly.
The psychological thriller perhaps is the best-known of films showing a domineering character holding a dependent character hostage in a house. Every scene in the movie is awesome, but those showing the face-to-face conflict between Jane and Blanche are captivating.
In this scene, Blanche timidly tries to inform Jane of her decision to sell the house. But does Jane not know already? And of course, we can’t wait to see what’s in for Blanche’s lunch. Enjoy!
