Losing a pet is not a very nice time at all. It’s very similar to losing a family member, if not exactly the same. Hopefully, these fun ideas will inspire you and help you to remember your beloved pet with a smile on your face.
Get a Tattoo
Tattoos are becoming more acceptable in this day and age. Many people choose to get tattoos dedicated to their pets once they are gone to show what they meant to them. You might get pawprints, a name, or even a full on portrait. There are so many amazing tattoo artists out there, you’re bound to find a style and cool idea that suits you. It can be as subtle or as obvious as you like.
Have Their Ashes in Jewellery
If you want to feel like you have your pet with you all of the time, why not have their ashes put in jewellery? You can turn dogs ashes into diamonds that you wear in a necklace, ring, or something else that means a lot to you. They are real diamonds and look lovely. If you don’t want to do that, you could simply have something engraved, or even buy a charm that reminds you of your pet.
Have a Painting or Portrait
If you have a favourite photograph of your pet, why not have it put into a painting or portrait? You can then display this picture proudly in your hall, lounge, or wherever you see fit. You might even like to create a little area in your home where you put other things that remind you of your pet too.
Plant Something for Them
If they had a favourite spot in the garden, why not plant something for them? You could plant a tree, a flower, vegetables – anything you like. Planting something that’s going to last is a great idea, as you’ll be able to visit it whenever you want to feel close to your pet. You could even have a bench put there.
An Engraved Plaque
An engraved plaque could be kept in the house or in the garden. This is a really nice way to show people what your pet means to you.
Create a Dedicated Photo Album
You probably have lots of pictures of your pet. Why not create a dedicated photo album? Have all of your favourite pictures printed out and place them in a special picture album. You could even write comments next to them to help you remember what was going on or why it was so funny. Something nice to look at when you miss your pet.
Make a Video
Maybe you have videos of your pet doing funny things. There are plenty of video editors out there these days that you can use to make a funny, heartwarming video to remind you of your pet. You could even include some background music.
See? There are loads of ways you can remember your pet. Choose the one that best resonates with you. If you have ideas of your own, please share them. Thanks for reading!
