So the screenshot from the movie’s climax, starring actor Michael Douglas (as hinted in the quiz) and Geneviève Bujold, is from the movie Coma (1978). Directed by Michael Crichton and based on Robin Cook’s medical thriller of the same title, this engaging mystery/thriller shows the dark business going on at a major hospital until it is discovered by a doctor (Bujold).
Coma is a movie that raised concerns among patients over the possibility of their abuse and what we today call medical kidnapping. There were reports that the movie was blamed for a drop in number of patients at certain hospitals.
Regardless, it’s a really good medical thriller.
