Disney is seeing continuing loss of business and trust of millions of Americans who have witnessed the once-irresistible entertainment company adopting the leftist political agenda in its products and presentation. A new petition launched online rejects Disney’s LGBTQ agenda and asks supporters to dump Disney theme parks and other businesses.
The petition is called Dump Disney: Go woke, go broke and it’s online at https://dumpdisney.com/. It states:
Over the years, Disney has become more and more radical in embracing gender ideology and the LGBTQIA agenda. From lewd pride parades at your theme parks, to pushing gender ideology in your movies, I’ve had enough of this nonsense.
The petition goes on to commit to boycotting Disney theme parks and other major holdings including: ABC, ESPN, Touchstone Pictures, Marvel, Lucasfilm, A&E, The History Channel, Lifetime, Pixar, Hollywood Records, and Core Publishing.
The petition also expresses hope that Disney will change its course and drop its support for gender ideology of the left.
The Dump Disney petition has been signed by almost 30 thousand people while it aims at gathering at least 50 thousand signatures.
Over the weekend, BizPacReview reported that Disney is expected to lay off thousands of its employees in the coming month. Citing “a source inside Disney,” the story wrote:
The entertainment giant has ordered managers/executives to prepare budget cuts and, more notably, lists of employees to be laid off, with the expectation being that firings will begin in April.
