Chase Bank Closing Accounts of Porn Stars

Porn stars took to Twitter to slam Chase Bank for discriminating against them by sending account closure notices.porn stars

NY Daily News reported Tuesday that a number of porn stars tweeted against Chase Bank’s discriminatory move of closing accounts of porn stars and in some cases their family. Ashley Erickson, aka Presley, reported getting an account closure notice from Chase bank for her account as well as that of her husband’s personal account and any business accounts.

Erickson’s husband is said to have visited Chase bank to inquire about the issue and was told that his account was being closed due to being husband to an “infamous” adult film actress.

Meanwhile Chris Wolverton has started a petition on Care2 Stop demanding of Chase Bank to stop discriminating against porn stars! The petition has received nearly 5600 signatures already and it asks, “If Chase Bank has such a problem with the adult film industry, why don’t they go through all their customers’ accounts and close all the ones that purchase adult materials?”

An email notification from Care2 notes that none of the accounts Chase Bank selected for closure were in poor standing, but the account holders are all members of the adult film industry.
