Bamboozled Productions and Mount Barker District Council are thrilled to announce A Good Laugh – South Australia’s only dedicated comedy festival, rolling into the Adelaide Hills for three unforgettable weekends this May from 1 May to 16 May.
Headlining the inaugural festival is a who’s-who of Australian comedy:
- Claire Hooper (The Project, Claire Hooper’s House of Games, The Pineapple Project)
- Damian Callinan (The Merger, Skithouse, Before the Game)
- Dilruk Jayasinha (Utopia, Have you Been Paying Attention?, Bundle of Joy)

- Michael Hing (triple j, double j, Free to a Good Home)
- Alex Ward (Have You Been Paying Attention?, The Weekly with Charlie Pickering, Ready Steady Wardy)
- Kevin Kropinyeri (Edinburgh Fringe, Melbourne International Comedy Festival)

Shows take place across seven of the district’s most beloved landmarks – Tin Shed Distillery, Prancing Pony Brewery, The Cheese Factory Meadows, Macclesfield Institute and Mount Barker Town Hall – before closing with a spectacular Gala Night and Street Party on 16 May.

Highlight events include:
- The Big Giggle – a FREE all-ages family day at Hahndorf Academy (Sun 3 May, 11am–4pm) with roving performers, comedy workshops, food trucks and more.
- Gala Night & Street Party – the festival closes with a bang at Mount Barker Town Hall (Sat 16 May), headlined by Damian Callinan and Alex Ward, with live music on Stephens Street from 5pm.
