Peanut’s Law – Sign the Petition to Protect Pets from Government Tyranny

It’s been more than two weeks since P’Nut was seized from his family and killed by the New York state administration. The orphaned squirrel, who was rescued and raised as a pet by a good Samaritan named Mark Longo, became a beloved social media star with more than half a million followers on his Instagram page.

The tyrannical attack on P’Nut and his family left the nation in sorrow and anger at the government overreach in the blue state of NY. Its impact has not faded and voices advocating the rights of harmless animals are asking for legislation that would prevent such victimization of families and pets in future.

Assemblyman Jake Blumencranz, a Republican from Long Island, has proposed an amendment titled “Peanut’s Law: Humane Animal Protection Act” to the state’s Environmental Conservation Law that would prevent the authorities from exercising the tyrannical overreach that got P’Nut killed by the state.

The important points of Peanut’s Law have been summarized in a petition by Animal Victory that was launched on November 8. The petition addresses the following offices:

New York State Assembly
518-455-3791. Speaker@nyassembly.gov. ThieleF@nyassembly.gov

Kathy Hochul, New York Governor
Governor.Hochul@exec.ny.gov
