The Nell Robinson & Jim Nunally Band will play the Harris Center (aka Three Stages) at Folsom Lake College, 10 College Parkway, Folsom, on September 22 at 8:00 pm.
This all-star band is making a special appearance in Folsom, hot from their East Coast Tour, Freshgrass, and the Vancouver Folk Festival! Audiences are in for a special night of music featuring this combination of A-list musicians. Nell Robinson and Jim Nunally (a two-time IBMA Award-winning guitarist) have appeared at The Kennedy Center, Folk Alliance International, Garrison Keillor’s Prairie Home Companion, Hardly Strictly Bluegrass Festival, PBS series Music Gone Public, Kate Wolf Music Festival, and Strawberry Music Festival.
Jim Kerwin, considered one of the best and most versatile bass players in the country has credits ranging from David Grisman and Jerry Garcia to Yo-Yo Ma and Stephane Grapelli. Rob Reich brings a fresh new sound to the band with his virtuosic and quirky accordion and keyboard chops. Albert Vasquez has a percussion style all his own; he is the principal percussionist for Alvin Ailey. Their latest album Baby Let’s Take the Long Way Home debuted at 14 on Billboard’s Bluegrass chart and has since gone on to receive rave reviews.
