Peta2, world’s largest youth animal rights group, shared the good news of victory for rabbits who become victims of fur industry. The news reads:
“Forever 21 has announced that it will no longer sell products made with angora wool and has banned it entirely!”
Whitney Calk, the organization’s Youth Campaigns Project Manager, notified supporters via email that the development follows the release of an undercover video footage, shot by PETA Asia, showing horrific routine cruelty to angora rabbits in a Chinese angora farm. The footage showed rabbits screaming violently in pain while workers ripped fur off their skins.
Though celebrating the victory and thanking Forever 21 for the compassionate decision, the message from Peta2 expresses concern over the continued use of angora by companies like Gap. Peta2 is currently petitioning Gap to Stop Selling Angora.
Victory for rabbits who become victims of fur – angora wool. Word Matters!
