A Care2 petition is calling on all supporters to ask the US Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS) to protect Kemp’s Ridley Turtle from habitat loss. The petition is based on the concern that in case of continued habitat loss, resulting from destructive fishing and oil drilling practices, these turtles could soon become extinct.

The petition demands of the FWS to protect the Gulf of Mexico from the life-threatening practices of fishing and oil industries in order to save Kemp’s Ridley Turtle from possible extinction. The petition has been signed by more than 80 thousand people.
