Petition Asks Google for Crackdown on Illegal Drug and Gun Vids on YouTube

A new petition on Care2 is reminding Google of its responsibility to prevent illegal guns and drugs from being sold on its subsidiary YouTube.YouTube-Google

The petition addresses Larry Page, CEO Google, to monitor YouTube videos for illegal drug and gun sales.

“To make bad matters worse, it’s been alleged that the company may even be making money off of the advertisements associated with this illegal activity!” says the petition.

The petition is asking Google to follow the example of Facebook and actively search those YouTube videos that promote such “illegal and dangerous activity”.

The petition is looking to gather 10K signatures to make an impact.
