The safety of vaccines has been in questions for decades now. The latest news of recall of Gardasil, Merck’s vaccine for human papillomavirus (HPV) infection, stirred new concerns over the safety of vaccines.
CBS News called it a “voluntary’ recall of 743,360 vials of the vaccine on account of a “small number of the vials” possibly containing glass particles. The particles were reportedly so small that they could be injected into a person’s veins.
The CBS story quickly turns to the use of vaccine and CDC’s claims about safety of vaccines, including this contaminated vaccine. But the incident does raise the concerns whether vaccination is another name for playing with people’s health, even lives.
Interestingly, Gardasil has previously been reported for contamination with genetically engineered rDNA of the Human Papillomavirus (HPV) – a health hazard and most importantly something the mainstream media doesn’t highlight.
