So it’s been long but the quiz time is here again! First, though, the answer to Quiz 5.
You were looking at a very representative shot of the classic noir Detour (1945) by Edgar G. Ulmer. The actors in the shot are Tom Neal as Al Roberts, a poor piano player who accidentally becomes a suspect and is on the run from police, and Ann Savage as Vera, a hitcher who entraps Al and leads him to a fateful end of the journey. Classic compelling noir and thriller from the golden Hollywood days.

If you are a classic movie maniac, you should already have recognized the older actor in this image. He is one of the legends of English language films. And this psychological thriller of his has some real goosebumps moments along with this young actor who did well in front of a seasoned legend.
