Australia has stopped receiving or processing visa/immigration applications from Ebola-infected countries, namely Sierra Leone, Liberia and Guinea.
News.com.au reports that Australian government will not be letting those people from the Ebola-infected countries whose non-permanent visas have been processed but who haven’t yet departed for Australia. In addition, people who have already got a permanent visa for Australia would need to go through 21-day quarantine prior to departure.
Meanwhile in Italy, America soldiers returning from Liberia have been quarantined. Huffington Post says that Pentagon chose not to call it “quarantine” but “controlled monitoring.” The soldiers are going to be there for at least 21 days before possible return to U.S., informs the paper.
